Wedding Guide
By Khyati Rupani

It’'s the wedding season and all of us would love to look our best But it so happens that after attending a few functions, we end up indulging in “'mindless eating',” adding up a good 3-5 kgs in a couple of months.

Not with Balance Nutrition !!

We are here with a brand new e-guide. We call it - “THE NO PILING WEDDING GUIDE”

This guide has:

  • Tips for healthy eating.
  • A detailed before,– after & during the wedding food guide. Not to forget the cocktails!
- -
TIPS FOR HEALTHY EATING DURING WEDDING
  • Stay away from anything that includes the words: stuffed, double, triple, crispy, etc.
  • Some salad dressings can make a salad unhealthy. Get it on the side and choose non-cream based, lite, or fat-free salad dressing or, just go with olive oil and vinegar.
  • Sometimes, a soup and a salad may be enough to fill you.
  • Choose stewed, sautéd or grilled food instead of fried & baked.
  • Do not have fruit juices as they are high in carbohydrates and less in fiber, instead, have whole fruits.
- -
BEFORE GOING TO THE WEDDING FUNCTION

Eat one of these items before leaving for the function, this will ensure you don’t go overboard with the feast there.

  1. 1 roti & 1 katori daal
  2. 2 fruits
  3. 1 bowl vegetable raita
- -
Ideal foods to be picked at a wedding which will make sure your weight will remain in control are:

  • Pulse salad like chana chaat etc.
  • Curd, raita, buttermilk
  • Yellow daal, chole, chana, rajmah, kadhi
  • Steamed rice /vegetable pulao

Pick 1 katori each from any four of the items mentioned above & make that your dinner plate!
