Apart from proteins, besan is a good source of thiamin and vitamin B - 6 and sprouts are a good source of vitamin C. This dish provides a protein punch from a combo of two protein-rich sources. A low carbohydrate recipe will certainly prove useful in weight loss. Also, it contains vitamins & minerals from the added vegetables in it.

INGREDIENTS:
  • Bengal gram flour - 2 tbsp
  • Bean sprouts - 1 tbsp
  • Red capsicum [chopped] - 1 tbsp
  • Yellow capsicum [chopped] - 1 tbsp
  • Green capsicum [chopped] - 1 tbsp
  • Tomato [chopped] - 1 tbsp
  • Green chilies [minced] - 1 no.
  • Coriander leaves [chopped] - 1 tbsp
  • Cumin seeds - ½ tsp
  • Carom seeds - ¼ tsp
  • Red chilli powder - a pinch 
  • Oil - ½ tsp.   
  • Salt - as per taste
DIRECTIONS:
Step 1 Place the gram flour in a bowl.  Step 2 Add salt, carom seeds and red chilli powder.  Step 3 Add water, little by little, and whisk to make a smooth dosa like batter. Chop all the vegetables. Step 4 Heat oil in a non-stick pan and add cumin seeds and carom seeds.  Step 5 When the seeds begin to change culour, add chopped vegetables and toss.  Step 6 Add bean sprouts, salt and coriander leaves and mix well and cook for some time.  Step 7 Heat a dosa tawa and put a little oil on it. Pour a little batter and spread into a round pancake.  Step 8 Drizzle a little oil all around the pancake and cook till the underside is lightly browned.  Step 9 Spread a little of the filling over the pancake and switch off the heat.
