Chicken Chilli And Broccoli Stir Fry

Chicken is a good source of protein and broccoli is high in fiber, Vitamin C, and potassium which helps in increasing immunity and relieving bloating. Onions are rich in oligosaccharides which are prebiotics that improve gut health. Overall, it is a low carbohydrate, high protein-rich recipe.

INGREDIENTS:
  • Chicken pieces - 100 g
  • Dry red chillies - 1 no
  • Broccoli - 200 g
  • Ginger - 2 slices
  • Garlic - 4 cloves
  • Oil - 1 tsp
  • Salt- to taste
  • Spring onion bulb - 2-5 no
  • Crushed red chillies - 1 tsp
  • Water - as required       
DIRECTIONS:
Step 1 Trim stems off the brocculi and slice them. Separate florets. Step 2 Heat oil in a non-stick pan; add brocculi stems and sauté for a ½ minute. Add brocculi florets and salt. Step 3 Sprinkle a little water and cook for 2-3 minutes. Set aside on a plate. Step 4 Slice spring onions bulbs. Cut chicken into ½ inch cubes and put in a bowl. Add half the chopped ginger-garlic; ½ tsp crushed red chillies, salt and mix well. Set aside to marinate for 15 minutes. Step 5 Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Deseed and break red chillies and add to the pan and sauté for a ½ minute. Step 6 Add spring onion bulbs, remaining chopped ginger-garlic and sauté for 1 minute. Add marinated chicken and sauté on high heat for 1 minute. Sprinkle a little water and cook. Add brocculi to the chicken and stir. Add 1 cup water, remaining crushed red chillies, salt and mix. Cook till chicken is done.
