Chilkewala parathas are not only easy to digest but also provide a good combination of cereal and pulse giving us a complete protein combination. The split green gram adds a good amount of fiber to the dish.

INGREDIENTS:
  • Whole wheat flour - ½ katori
  • Split green gram dal (chilka moong dal) - ¼ katori (boiled)
  • Coriander powder - ½ tsp
  • Green chili - ½ tsp (chopped)
  • Onion - 2 tbsp (chopped)
  • Oil - ½ tsp
DIRECTIONS:
Step 1 Mix all the ingredients in a bowl and knead them into a soft dough using water Step 2 Divide the dough into two equal portions and rull it out into thick parathas. Step 3 Heat a tava (griddle) and cook each paratha, till it turns gulden brown in culor from both sides.  Step 4 Serve the warm parathas with curd/ vegetable pickle.
