Cumin seeds help in milk production. This drink also aids in digestion and helps relieve constipation, bloating and gas. Cumin seeds also contain iron which is an essential mineral for lactating mothers. Iron deficiency in lactating women can lead to anemia and can make breastfeeding a challenge. Cumin seeds help restore the iron levels.

INGREDIENTS:
  • Water[filtered] – 1 liter
  • Cumin seeds[jeera] – 1 tsp
DIRECTIONS:
Step 1 Add cumin seeds to one liter of filtered water. Bring the mixture to boil. Step 2 Lower the flame and let the mixture simmer for another 5 minutes. Step 3 Remove from the heat and let it coul till the water is lukewarm. Step 4 Pour through a sieve and keep in a thermos so that it stays warm for several hours. Take sips of this water all through the day.
