Dalia is high in protein and low in fat and calories, it offers you nutrients without adding pounds to your body. Sesame seeds are an excellent source of copper, known for its use in reducing some of the pain and swelling of rheumatoid arthritis.

INGREDIENTS:
  • Whole wheat flour/bajra/chickpea/besan - 15g
  • Dalia - 15g
  • Bottle gourd/cabbage/pumpkin - 20 g
  • Yogurt - 10 g
  • Ginger-chilli paste - 1 tsp 
  • Kasuri methi - 10 g 
  • Sugar - 1 tsp 
  • Turmeric - 1/2 tsp 
  • Cumin seeds - tsp 
  • Coriander powder - 1/2 tsp 
  • Red chilli powder - tsp 
  • Lemon juice - 1 tsp 
  • Oil - 1/2 tsp 
For tempering 
  • Oil - 1/2 tsp 
  • Sesame seeds - 1/2 tsp 
  • Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp 
  • Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp 
  • Curry leaves - 1/2 tsp 
  • Coriander leaves - 2-3 (for garnishing)
DIRECTIONS:
Step 1 Preparing the dough: Step 2 Mix all the ingredients except yogurt  Step 3 Keep aside for 15-20 min  Step 4 Add water and make a smooth dough  Step 5 Making the steamed muthia:- Step 6 From the dough, make sausage-shaped long rulls and place them in a greased container.  Step 7 Steam these rulls for 17-20 minutes or till done.  Step 8 Once warm and couled, slice the steamed rulls.  Step 9 Temper the ingredients mentioned in the tempering list above.  Step 10 Add the sliced muthia and fry for 2-3 mins  Step 11 Serve hot or warm garnished with some chopped coriander leaves.
