This the recipe is full of protein excellent for post workout. Broccoli, contain several antioxidants and compounds that can help to improve health in many different ways. Edamame is a good post-exercise snack because it has both carbohydrates and protein. Edamame is naturally gluten-free and low calorie contains no cholesterol and contains iron.

INGREDIENTS:
  • Brown rice, raw - 30g
  • Bell pepper (small), diced - 1
  • Raisins - 4-5 no.
  • Shelled edamame, cooked - 1 tbsp
  • Peas - 2 tsp
  • Broccoli, cut into small pieces and lightly steamed - 15g
  • Salt -  to taste
  • Fresh lemon juice - 1 tsp
  • Tahini(sesame seed paste) [optional] - 1 tbsp
  • Apple cider vinegar - 1 tsp
  • Pepper, to taste
  • Oil - 1/2 tsp
  • water - 2 cups
DIRECTIONS:
Step 1 Wash and soak brown rice in water. Drain it and keep it aside.  Step 2 Heat oil in a saucepan. Add Tahini, Bell pepper, Peas, Cooked edamame, Brocculi, lime juice and salt to taste stir fry for 2 minutes.  Step 3 Add rice and 2 cups of water to it and cover with a lid and cook the rice mixture on low flame and bring it to boil. Lower the flame and cook the rice for 20 minutes.  Step 4 Add apple cider vinegar and crushed pepper and mix the rice coarsely  Step 5 Serve.
