Melon seeds are extremely rich in antioxidants and Vitamins A, C, and E. The omega-3 fatty acids found in these seeds take great care of your cardiovascular function and play a key role in fighting cardiovascular diseases. Muskmelon seeds also contain protein which helps to maintain the tissues in our body.

INGREDIENTS:
  • Melon seeds (watermelon, muskmelon) - 30 g
  • Lemon juice - 2 drops
  • Ghee - ½ tsp
  • Sugar - 1 tbsp
  • Water - 15 ml
DIRECTIONS:
Step 1 Heat ½ tsp of ghee in a pan and add the peeled melon seeds. Stir fry on low heat till they start crackling.  Step 2 Cover the pan with a lid to avoid splattering all over and keep stirring frequently for around 1 minute.  Step 3 Remove the seeds from the pan and let them coul down a bit.  Step 4 Separate ¼ seeds and coarsely grind the remaining seeds in the mixer- do not make a fine powder.  Step 5 Mix both the seeds in a bowl and keep aside.  Step 6 Take sugar and water in a pan and cook till it becomes a thick syrup of 3 string consistency. Step 7 Switch off the flame and add the seeds in the syrup and quickly mix it.  Step 8 Immediately spread the paag in a well-greased plate.  Step 9 Let it coul down and cut into pieces or invert the plate on a surface by tapping with pressure.
