Oats are one of the healthiest grains. They are gluten-free and a rich source of vitamins, minerals, fiber, and antioxidants. Moong dal is a vegetarian superfood. Oats along with dal and vegetables, aids in weight loss, lower blood sugar levels and reduce the risk of heart disease.


INGREDIENTS:
  • Oats - 3 tsp
  • Moong Dal - 2 tsp
  • Cumin seeds - ¼ tsp
  • Mixed Veggies (onion, tomato, french beans, green peas) - 1 katori
  • Green chilly -  1 no. 
  • Turmeric powder- a pinch
  • Asafoetida (hing) - a pinch 
  • Oil - ¼ tsp
  • Salt - as per taste 
  • Water - as required
DIRECTIONS:
Step 1 Heat oil in a pan. Add the cumin seeds Step 2 When the cumin seeds sizzle, add green chilli and saute for 30 seconds. Step 3 Add mixed veggies, cook till they are soft. Now add salt, turmeric, asafoetida, oats, and moong dal. Step 4 Mix everything together and add ½ cup of water and bring the water to a boil. Step 5 Lower the flame put a lid on the pan, and let it simmer till the oats and dal are cooked. Step 6 You can add additional water and cook for 5 more minutes. Switch off the flame and serve.
