Buttermilk is the ubiquitous Indian beverage, often served with meals. It is a cooling,
refreshing and low calorie drink, free of additives and sugar. Yoghurt is made from milk,
and has all the health benefits that milk has. So you get more calcium. Then it is
fermented and cultured. So it has probiotics that improve gut health. It’s a perfect
summer drink to rejuvenate and hydrate your body.

INGREDIENTS:
  • Curd/yogurt - 100 ml [1 cup]
  • Mint leaves [paste] - 1 tsp
  • Coriander leaves [minced] - 1 tsp
  • Garlic [minced] - 1 tsp
  • Chaat masala - ¼ tsp
  • Cumin powder [roasted] - ½ tsp
  • Salt - a pinch
  • Water - as required
DIRECTIONS:
Step 1 To a blender jar add plain yogurt or curd. Step 2 Next add mint leaves paste, minced coriander leaves, minced garlic, chaat masala and a pinch of salt. Step 3 Blend until smooth. Pour water, about 2 cups. You can use ice cubes. Step 4 Blend until frothy. Add cumin powder to it. Step 5 Serve it chill with meals.
