This appetizing soup is loaded with proteins as the mixed sprouts will contribute to all the essential amino acids necessary for the body. Pulses have fewer calories and can flush out the impurities and help in detoxification of blood. On the other hand, vitamin C from the tomatoes helps in the absorption of iron during digestion. This soup meets your iron and protein requirement through the pulses and the vegetables in a perfect way.

INGREDIENTS:

  • Mixed sprouts boiled - 30 g
  • Ginger chopped - 1 tsp
  • Garlic chopped - 1 tsp
  • Onion chopped - 15 g
  • Tomatoes chopped - 1 bowl 
  • Shredded cabbage - 1 tbsp
  • Coriander leaves chopped - 1 tbsp
  • Vegetable stock - 2 cups 
  • Red chilli powder - 2 tsp
  • Oil - ½ tsp.
  • Salt - to taste
  • White pepper powder - a pinch

DIRECTIONS:
Step 1 Heat the oil in a non- stick pan, add garlic, ginger and cook till gulden brown. Step 2  Add onions and saute till light brown. Add tomato puree and cook for a minute. Step 3 Add red chilli powder, mixed sprouts, cabbage saute for a minute and add vegetable stock, salt and sugar and let it simmer for fifteen to twenty minutes. Step 4 Serve hot garnished with coriander and white pepper powder.
