Herbs often lead to the thought of some miraculous & supernatural cures. Today, the importance & utility of herbs are a subject more of argument & speeches, than of actual research. There are ample amounts of herbs that have helped women in ways of treating different feminine ailments. Here is a tiny note on a few herbs that we use in day to day life & their possible role in a woman’s life.


1. BASIL:

  • Anti-inflammatory agent for swelling & relieving arthritis hence also prevents osteoporosis

  • Can also smooth the mother’s milk in lactating mothers, the active component leaves tryptophan which is proven to delay menopause

  • The compound eugenol is known to kill the fungi that cause vaginal discharge so it also acts as a fungicidal

2. ROSEMARY:

  • A rich source of antioxidants, hence, acts as an anti-carcinogenic.

  • It is typically applied to the skin to treat conditions like eczema

3. NEEM:

4. CINNAMON:

  • Applying its oil directly to the skin can be helpful in reducing inflammation, swelling, pain, & redness

  • The compound curcumin present in it inhibits the growth of cells of the uterine fibroid thereby preventing the proliferation
